Leicester City Football Club, founded in 1884, is an English professional football club based at the King Power Stadium. They compete in the English top-division Premier League. The football club moved to Filbert Street in 1891 and were elected to the Football League in 1894. Before using the name King Power Stadium, the football club was named Leicester City in 1919.
Since its foundation in 1992, they have won the Premier League in 2015-16 season, becoming one of six winning football clubs. “The Foxes” is the most common nickname for the football club. In addition to the most common nickname, there are two more local terms used by its supporters “The Blues” and “City”. Sometimes, it is called as “The Filberts” and “The Fossils”. The image of a fox has been integrated in the club crest since 1948, because the Leicester shire is famous for foxes and fox hunting. The most common nicknamed was derived from its history.
