Founded in 1895, West Ham United Football Club is a traditional Premier League club located in Stratford, East London, England. West Ham United F.C. is commonly known as The Hammers due to its origins as Thames Ironworks. The club has been the winners of the FA Cups three times and the runners-up twice. In addition, it has won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1965 and the Intertoto Cup in 1999.
Until May, 2016, the squad played its home games at the Boleyn Ground, commonly known as Upton Park, in Newham, East London. Upton Park is a professional football stadium with a capacity of nearly 35,303 spectators. This advanced stadium is praised by all players who have come here to play games.
Upton Park has four main stands, including the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand, Bobby Moore Stand, East Stand and Betway Stand. The Sir Trevor Brooking Stand was built in 1995 in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of West Ham United. The stand holds around 6,000 seats and two tiers, with the upper tier seating known as the family section. There is one of two large LED video screens situated in the corner between the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand and the East Stand.
Built in 1993, Bobby Moore Stand can accommodate 9,000 spectators. “WEST HAM UNITED” is shown by the seats with different colors. The lower tier of the stand is built for passionate fans to stand and sing.
Loyal fans are able to visit Upton Park when there is no match being held. I suppose that you cannot wait to visit there to feel the best atmosphere in the great stadium.
As a strong football team, West Ham United deserves to own the most comfortable football jerseys. Umbro and the club jointly released the 2017-18 home football shirt. Umbro is an English sportswear and football equipment supplier which designs and manufactures football apparel, footwear, and equipment. The products of the company are sold in 90 countries worldwide.
The home shirt 2017-18 is a continuation of the classic and traditional design, which is red wine and sky blue. The shirt takes inspiration from the 1970s jerseys and shows respect for the great and successful history of West Ham United by the design details.
“Everyone knows that red wine and sky blue are the symbols of West Ham United. The design of the new jersey is great and I believe fans will love it.” said Mark Noble, the captain and central midfielder of the club. He has won the club’s Hammer of the Year trophy twice in 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons and Championship PFA Team of the Year award in 2011-12 season.
Inspired by the club’s classic 1970s jerseys, this home shirt features the V-shaped design on the chest and V-neck collar. Meanwhile, the collar is consistent with the well-known crossed hammers of the club badge.
The back of the shirt is embroidered with a blue and white flag and “THE HAMMERS” that pay tribute to the club’s origin—the Thames Ironworks football club established at the end of the nineteenth century, at the same time, shows the nickname of the club.
The fabric is breathable to keep players dry and comfortable, so that they can perform better in games.
